Marin County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reporting System

Dear Greenbrae Residents:

Following the June 2013 meeting Marin County Supervisor Katie Rice had with residents of Greenbrae and Kentfield, Supervisor Rice explored establishing an on-line system for providing local crime data to better inform concerned residents about incidents in our neighborhoods. Recently, the Marin County Sheriff’s office established such a tool. Here is a link to the Sheriff’s Press Release:

This new tool is only as good as the data provided. It is crucial to report any suspicious activity. As noted in the Press Release, anonymity is honored.

The Sheriff’s phone number for non-emergency communication is (415) 479-2311. For emergencies, always call 911.

Attached are the crime prevention tips that were reviewed at the June 2013 meeting.

Very truly yours,

Jack Valinoti
