From landscaping at greenbrae.org Tue Oct 6 18:11:08 2009 From: landscaping at greenbrae.org (landscaping at greenbrae.org) Date: Tue, 06 Oct 2009 15:11:08 -0700 Subject: [Greenbrae_Homeowners] Notice of Pending Tree work and Resurfacing of Bretano Way between La Cuesta Drive and Eliseo Drive Message-ID: Hi, Attached is a letter from our County Public Works Department announcing imminent tree pruning along Bretano Way in preparation for re-surfacing of the whole roadway, upper and lower sides, between La Cuesta and Eliseo Drive. The tree work will affect only a handful of homes and limited limbs hanging out along Bretano Way. Each affected homeowner will get this letter in their mail box in the next week or so. This is great news. The roadway re-surfacing is funded by Federal dollars. Our Greenbrae Homeowners email list (how we?re communicating to you here) includes neighbors across Greenbrae, and though you may not live on Bretano Way, this still may be of interest to you. Since many homeowners on Bretano Way may not be on our email list, if you have friends and colleagues who do live there, please let them know of this pending road work (exact dates are still being determined.) We?re also posting the attached letter on our community web site, www.greenbrae.org . Best, Scott -- Scott P. (MCSTOPP.) In the fall and even year-round it?s important that we keep leaves from our street trees and other debris out of our storm water catch basins along the gutters. The County and City of Larkspur send out street sweepers often to help with this. Yet, occasionally neighbors and gardeners see the drains as a convenient place to dispose of those pesky leaves. Alas, it?s not a good practice. If you see someone doing so, after reading this flyer you could help inform and guide them to better disposal methods. Also, for those of you wondering about the resurfacing still planned for all of Bretano Way between La Cuesta and Eliseo Drive, the County and the construction contractor are waiting for the pending storms to stop. Then, they will get quickly to work. Best, Scott Sherman Landscaping Chairman, GPOA -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... We are currently only in the planning stages of our proposed corridor bike/ped connections. When the County of Marin Board of Supervisors gives us their approval, we'll leave the planning stage and enter into development contracts with Caltrans, in addition to many other vendors. If possible, Scott, we would so appreciate a response to determine if you can distribute the attached flier to all Greenbrae Homeowners Association members and Board Members. We would be so grateful for everyone's attendance on December 9th! Also, for additional information, please cut and past the following into your browser http://www.walkbikemarin.org/projects_millvalley.php for project details. Many thanks for your time and assistance, and best wishes for a bountiful Thanksgiving holiday. ~ Jeri JeriLynne Stewart | County of Marin Transportation Services | ph 415.499.6519 | fx 499.7847 jstewart at co.marin.ca.us Email Disclaimer: http://www.co.marin.ca.us/nav/misc/EmailDisclaimer.cfm ------ End of Forwarded Message -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
