One of Seven “Neighborhood Response Groups” Forming — February 25, 2019 Meeting (6:30-7:30 p.m.)

Dear Greenbrae Residents,

I am writing to invite you to join your neighbors in Greenbrae’s newly forming “Navarro NRG” (see below for included households) for one hour on February 25th at 6:30 p.m. in the library at Marin Catholic High School. We are all at risk from earthquakes, mudslides and fires, and official help may not come quickly if the disaster is widespread. This is a chance for us to get organized ahead of the need, and to learn how to help ourselves, our families and our neighbors. We will learn what Marin County and the Cities of Larkspur/Corte Madera are doing about disaster preparedness and planning. We will take the first steps to organizing our NRG – a self-help group to check on neighbors and to guide official relief to those in need following disaster. We will learn how to prepare ourselves to evacuate or shelter in place.

You are a member of the Navarro NRG (one of 7 in Greenbrae) if you live on: Eliseo (#103 – #398), Corte Cayuga (#1 – #90), Corte de Sabla (#5 – #90), Bretano (#205 – #270), Via Barranca (#15 – #299), Via Navarro (#2 – #100), Corte Toluca (#5 – #95), Via La Paz (#1 – #99), Corte Gracitas (#5 – #100), Via Lerida (#101 – #291), or Corte Fedora (#15 – #99).

Please RSVP for the February 25th meeting by emailing Laurie Rice at Specify that you are rsvp’ing for the Feb 25th meeting.

The GPOA has worked with Laurie Rice in forming the other NRG’s for our community. If you are interested in working to help keep the project moving forward, please contact Laurie Rice at

Very truly yours,
